The event calendar shows upcoming club events. Select a view then use the navigation buttons to move

location, fees and any rules regarding attendance; you can also register for events from this screen.

Reno Open Studios is a city wide event organized by the Sierra Arts Gallery. The NV Woodchucks are participating in this event, showing off the club house and helping sell the club art (balloon items and Joe’s stuff) from the club house as well as supporting others in selling their art.

This Monday class at 6:30 pm is designed to explore the digital tools, software, and machines for woodworking. The Digital Design & Build’s goal is the sharing of ideas, concepts, demonstrations and projects; focused on the operation of hobby lasers and CNC machines.

Scrollers meet 2pm on Wednesday. Registration required to reserve a scroll saw. Although their are specific project at each meeting, generally members meet to show and tell about their projects, learn from others, and engage in common projects using a fully equipped shop with multiple Scroll Saws and dozens of project patterns. Non-members are always invited to attend a meeting and audit the group.

Students will construct a simple, free-form design Shaker-style Wall Display Shelf. There are two shelves with the option of adding a dowel to hang quilts. Gain hands-on experience to learn techniques to safely operate a variety of power and hand tools. Topics covered include tool safety, proper tool control as well as gaining a working knowledge of basic woodworking. Instructor: Tim Rockey
Every 3rd & 4th Wednesday of the month, from 6:30pm to 9:00pm, woodturners meet in the shop to talk about their projects, learn from others, and engage in common projects using one of the club lathes.
All members are welcome to attend!
