On Wednesday December 4th, 2024, Toy SIG celebrated the culmination of yet another successful year of toy creation, led by "Ms. Santa" Donnah Wenstrom. More than 1800 beautiful toys were donated to local organizations serving vulnerable children, including CASA, Catholic Charities, UNR Head Start, Reno-Sparks Tribal Council Head Start, Kids Kottage, Ronald McDonald House, Saint Francis Food Pantry, Tahoe Family Solutions, Washoe County DA Office, The Children's Cabinet, Domestic Violence Resource Center, and the Salvation Army.
The toys were delivered by Toy SIG members or picked up by grateful representatives of the recipient organizations. The event was covered by local ABC affiliate KOLO and the members celebrated with a potluck lunch afterwards. View the news story here:
