GET INVOLVED

The general meeting is usually on Thursday. The general meeting is not mandatory to participate in the groups that meet several times a month. We have several groups depending on interest.

Toy Group

The Toy group meets on Wednesdays at 10a.m. and makes the toys we give away every Christmas. You can learn a broad range of skills making the toys. They use Table Saws, Routers, planers, drum sanders, band saws, scroll saws and hand tools. This is a good place to start for someone who wants to learn general woodworking and even toy painting.

Carving

The carving group meets at 9:00 am on Wednesdays at a home (check the website for where and give Paul Volpp a call if interested)

Lathe

The Lathe group meets on the third and fourth Tuesdays 6:30 p.m. and works on various projects and the instruction is individualized. Right now they are making balloons for sale at one of our major fund raisers, the balloon races in September.

Tools and Techniques

The TNT (tools and techniques) meets on 3 and 4th Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. They emphasize hand tools and they are so good, I am always impressed when I attend.

Scroll Saw

The Scroll saw group is meets on 2 and 4th Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
